12 Organic and Natural Empties – My Tops & Flops

I’ve been on a product testing mission recently which means I have used up a loads of the organic and natural products in my bathroom cupboard! The big question now is which were hits and what missed by a country mile and most importantly, would I repurchase any of them?

Face

Organic SOS Hydra Moisturizer, Madara – This is definitely one of the best moisturizing creams I’ve tested so far! It moisturizes my dehydrated combination skin perfectly without leaving any sort of greasy or sticky feeling. The texture penetrates quickly leaving my skin comfortable all day long with a soft and velvety finish. This is a real favourite, will I rebuy it? Yes, most definitely!

Raw Chocolate Mousse Mask, Alban Muller – I was very excited to test this chocolate mask! As soon as I open the pot, I get a huge waft of beautiful gourmet chocolate mousse that makes me want to plunge a spoon into it and devour the whole pot ^^! The mask is very pleasant to use on a sensory level is but is a little disappointing on an efficiency level. This mask brings a lovely touch of freshness to the skin and awakens your complexion but I can’t say much more than that in its favour. Apart from that I didn’t really notice any other positive effects that I can speak of. Would I buy this one again? That’s a definite no but if you want to know my favorite masks that I would buy again you can find them here et here.

Black Mint Cleaner, Odacité – I told you about this little gem of a product on my Insta Stories recently. I love this cleansing gel, it contains purifying active ingredients such as activated charcoal and rhassoul, which purify the skin and cleanse the pores. I use this cleanser at night after removing my makeup with carrier oil. It cleans my skin thoroughly without drying it and removes all impurities and make-up residues. I’ve also noticed a lot less imperfections since I began using it. Would I re-buy? Yes, to tell the truth I have a second bottle already.

Organic Face Tan Water, Eco by Sonya – I have talked in more detail about this product on my blog before here. This self-tanning lotion with 100% natural composition is super effective giving a lovely tanned and uniform complexion. It is an absolute must-have for me! Will I buy it again? Yes of course, I’m already on my 3rd bottle!!! ^^

Available here

Organic Aqua Aeria Mist, Sanoflore – This is an anti pollution mist made with lemon savory hydrolate and essential oil. It prevents particles of pollution and impurities from clinging to your skin. Pollution has a harmful impact on skin including premature aging and dehydration, so we have to try and protect from this as much as possible. Every morning, before going out, I spray it on my face and hair to refresh awaken it. It’s quite difficult to judge the effectiveness on the skin but on hair it creates a fantastic shine. Would I rebuy? Yes, I have already started my second bottle.

Available here

Radiance Face Oil, Fushi – This facial oil is a blend of carrier oils, essential oils and ayurvedic powders including Baobab oil, Rice bran, Jojoba oil, Cherry, Moringa, Raspberry, Rose of Damascus and Manjista powder. A great mix! I applied it in the evening and in the morning I woke up with a rested, illuminated complexion and softer skin! Will I rebuy this one? Not for the moment (only because I currently have so many other oils to test) but otherwise it would be a definite yes!

Body

Deodorant Ylang Grapefruit, Girl Smells – A 100% natural deodorant with glass packaging, nice design and a pleasant smell…..this product has everything to seduce. Unfortunately it’s a big disappointment. After just a few hours, the good smells start to dissipate and those unwanted bad smells start to surface. I didnt even end up finishing the product and it ended up in the bin. So you can probably guess this one, would I rebuy? No, the Ben & Anna deodorants I talk about next are much more effective and also cheaper.

Available here

Organic and Vegan Deodorant Pink Grapefruit, Ben & Anna – I can’t even begin to count the number of tubes of this deodorant that I have gone through. It is a wonderful 100% natural deodorant with a stunningly pleasant scent. It’s pleasantly effective in all circumstances (sport, intense day etc.), I barely feel any sweat and experience no untoward smells…..even at the end of a long day! Am I going to rebuy? Yes of course!

Hair

Organic Honey Shampoo, Ballot-Flurin – This honey shampoo ended up as a hand wash which probably tells you everything you need to know. I am really quite disappointed with this product as before trying it I had heard a lot of good reviews. It dries and tangles my hair like crazy and the smell, which is of bitter almonds, really does nothing to entice me! Will I rebuy? Not a chance!

Available here

Organic Broccoli oil, Mademoiselle Bio – This oil is a marvel for the hair making it extremely soft and reducing frizz. I use it in as a leave in by warming a few drops in the palm of my hand and applying it to my wet lengths. Result, my hair is smoother and much more silky! Is this one on the rebuy list? Yes! It’s a must have for me that I always have in my bathroom.

Makeup

Lipstick, Axiology – These lipsticks are a disaster! After only a few weeks they have crumbled and broken! At the price I was expecting much better quality. Too bad though as the packaging and colors are beautiful. Will I rebuy? You can probably guess, It’s a no from me!

Available here

Organic Concealer, Lavera – This concealer lightens your under eyes a little but the coverage is simply non-existent. The product is far too liquid and to add insult to injury, it also creases. I literally can’t find anything good to even say about this product. Rebuy? No!
