I thought I would start a new series on my blog showcasing some of my recent favorite organic and natural beauty products! Woohoo!! Very original idea, I know, but I thought it might interest you to discover the products that I’ve been using and that I really love but haven’t had a chance to talk about yet.
View Post
For the first time in a while I have felt totally compelled to write this review as quickly as possible as I have been so amazed by this new product I have found! Normally things can sit on my ever expanding shelves of products as I try them in different scenarios but this one I just wanted to start telling everyone about instantly. So this very rushed review is all about Face Tan Water from Eco by Sonya, an Australian brand that offers a fairly complete range of natural tanning products, both organic and vegan. I found out about them about a year and a half ago when I was looking for a natural alternative to my self-tanning St Tropez. I had tested the Invisible Tan and I really liked that too but not quite to the same degree as the Face Tan Water. Recently, while I was meandering through instagram profiles I came across a post by the Amazingy shop that praised the merits of this Face Tan Water as THE face Self-Tanner! It’s a moisturising water that provides a gradual natural tanned complexion and upon hearing that my curiosity was definitely stirred!! Without a seconds hesitation it magically appeared in my shopping basket and now I today I am pleased to be able to present it to you guys!
View Post
Sometimes I wish I were a scientist. It would help me so much more in understanding all the amazing ingredients and ways of combining them to create the perfect products. If I knew what worked together perfectly and in what amounts then I am sure I could make the most spectacular concoctions. Luckily for all of us skincare obsessives certain brands are trying to do exactly that on our behalf. The latest addition to my life is a brand called HiQ who have introduced me to something new in the form of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) in their Facial Serum. I am lost already just hearing the name which probably explains why I am not a scientist, unlike the two owners of Atlanta based HiQ Cosmetics, one of whom can boast a PHD in chemistry. As I have mentioned before my ears always perk up when I hear things like this in the natural cosmetic industry as it gives a great feeling of trust before you even try the product! View Post
I have to admit to doing something a little extreme recently. I am not going to recommend it to anyone as I can’t confirm any scientific grounding to it and have heard both good and bad opinions surrounding it. All I will say is I thought that I really wanted to try it and was pretty certain it wouldn’t do me any real harm but hopefully might actually do me some good. So I took a long time weighing up the options and I did a LOT of research and investigation before undertaking this which I would advise anyone else interested in the idea to do the same. After this caveat I will stop being so cryptic and get down to business. So what was it that I did…….a three day mono diet where I only ate apples! View Post
How satisfying is it when you finish a beauty product!? I feel so guilty if I buy a new product and have not even finished the previous one yet. I pin this blame entirely upon the seemingly never-ending sales, promotions, deals and adverts which push me to buy more and more by continually stoking my fear that i might be missing THE bargain (I of course absolve myself of all responsibility in my own mind).
