The Perfect Moisturiser Combo For Winter

Pai Skincare Geranium & Cartame Rebalancing Day Cream and Rice Plant & Rosemary BioAffinity Tonic

A new season means a new skincare routine! I have been on the hunt for the perfect face moisturiser for the past few weeks as I always swap a few of my products when winter comes. My skin feels very tight and uncomfortable in the cold weather so I like to replace my light face cream, which is more suitable for the warm days, with a richer formula.

After spending ages on the Naturisimo website one brand caught my eyes, Pai Skincare. I tried their famous Rosehip oil (that loads of people raved about) a year ago but I wasn’t very impressed at all. I found it a bit too greasy and tacky on the skin but I still used it all hoping it would get rid of my acne scars…….however it did nothing.

I always say you should never judge a brand after using only one product in their range so I still wanted to try more from Pai. I really like their packaging it’s very clean & simple (this is not my priority of course but I tend to be more attracted by a pretty bottle, it’s always a bonus!) and all their moisturisers come in a glass bottle with a pump which is brilliant. I rarely buy beauty products in jars anymore because they don’t keep the active ingredients stable and aren’t as hygenic. I also wanted to give Pai a second chance because the formula of their products seems pretty good and are all natural, organic and free from skin irritating nasties.

I find due to being prone to break-outs, along with my combination skin, that the Geranium & Cartame Rebalancing Day Cream is the one which suits me most. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and I think my lifelong search for the perfect moisturiser to suit my skin is over!!! I love love love this cream, it is just amazing. It really helps reduce the oil production on my T-Zone, keeps me hydrated all day and leaves my skin so soft. The creamy texture is not too light and not too rich, the perfect balance! This moisturiser absorbs really quickly into the skin which makes it perfect for morning use. It contains ingredients such as Jojoba, Borage and Geranium oil which are great to treat acne and reduce inflammation. The icing on the cake is that when you press down the pump just the right amount of product for your face is released, how good is that! The only bad point is that this moisturiser is quite pricey but I think it is worth every penny.

I meant to only buy a moisturiser but it’s very hard to leave the Naturisimo website with only one product in your basket. I’m unbelievably weak when it comes to online shopping, I just want to buy everything, so I picked up the the Rice Plant & Rosemary BioAffinity Tonic as well. I love using spray toner in my skincare routine, it feels cool and refreshing when spritzed on the face. This toner is meant to calm and rebalance combination skin which is exactly what I need. It contains properties which help to cleanse & purify the skin and its free from alcohol. I use it in the morning after cleansing and find that it leaves my skin calm, moisturised and refreshed. Once again it’s another quite expensive product, £33 for a 50ml toner, but I bought it on black friday so got it a bit cheaper!

Together these two products are a perfect duo for my morning skincare routine and I will now actively recommend them to anyone with combination skin! I will definitely rebuy them both when finished but more than likely wait until they are on sale!

Have you tried any Pai products? What’s your favourite moisturiser and toner?
