BYBI Beauty Review

Over the last few years working on my blog and delving into the world of natural and organic beauty I have bumped into lots of like minded people who seem to be following a very similar path. Two such people are the very lovely Dominika and Elsie who run a British brand called Clean Beauty Co. Regular readers of my blog will have seen me talk about them before as I have attended some of their workshops and events! The duo have recently launched a new range of beauty products named BYBI and I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to test some of the range which includes a multi function balm called the Babe Balm and the Prime Time facial scrub.

Babe Balm is a multipurpose balm you can use to moisturise and soften any dry areas of skin including lips, cuticles and hands. It also works to remove make-up and as a highlighter on your cheekbones. You can use it in a plethora of different ways thanks to its natural ingredient list which is full of nourishing, moisturizing and soothing ingredients! It contains Kokum butter, Coconut oil, Hibiscus oil, Camellia oil, Pequi oil, Squalane, Calendula flowers, Monoi flowers and also a powerful antioxidant Coenzyme Q10.

The balm has a slightly rich and oily texture but once it comes into contact with the skin it melts and absorbs quickly while giving comfort, softness and moisture to the skin. Its sweet and fruity fragrance is a real treat.

Although this balm has many virtues and I love putting it on my lips I find myself using it most to moisturise my hands and feet when they become dried out from the sun. It is also wonderful to soothe my skin after waxing and recently, after a pretty bad allergic reaction from a deodorant, I applied this product and it gave immediate relief.

This really is a must have product for your toiletry bag, you can use it in a multitude of ways and is super handy. A nice little general addition to your arsenal.

Prime Time is a very soft facial scrub with a particular texture which sits somewhere between a gel and a cream. The smell is just divine! It is very fresh, fruity and slightly tangy. It’s so reminiscent of lime that sometimes I have to resist eating it.

Just like the Babe Balm the ingredient list is 100% natural and contains amazing moisturizing, nourishing and exfoliating ingredients. It contains Glycerin, Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Grape Seed Oil, Cocoa Butter, Marshmallow Root, Apple Extract, Pineapple Extract and Lime essential oil.

I use it once or twice a week on my skin after I have cleaned and dried it. I apply a good amount of product on my face and gently exfoliate avoiding the eye area. When applied to the skin the texture becomes oily, which then turns into a milky emulsion once you add a bit of water, making rinsing easy and fast.

The Facial Polish leaves your skin hydrated, soft and luminous yet exfoliates without being harsh. Above all it rids the skin of all impurities leaving it clean and fresh. In short, this exfoliant is perfect.

Have you ever tried any Clean Beauty Co products?
