Mademoiselle Bio Natural Beauty Products : Haul & Review

Haul Mademoiselle Bio

Every time I go to Paris for a few days I love to go to the Mademoiselle Bio shop. It provides a complete selection of skincare, bodycare, makeup and hair products from different brands as well as their own range of cosmetics. I find that in London the choice of natural and organic beauty products in most shops is very limited which forces me to have to order from online shops. However I still find it more fun being able to touch, feel and try the products before buying. I would absolutely love it if there were a Mademoiselle Bio shop in London !!?? I was lucky enough to be contacted by Mademoiselle Bio a few months ago and they offered to send me some of their products which I have now been testing for several weeks,  so finally it’s time to give you my opinion!

Nourish KALE Enzymatic Exfoliator: I heard a lot of good things about this British brand but I’ve not had the opportunity to test their products so I was very happy that I received one!!! It is a 3 in 1 product which is an Exfoliating + Cleanser + Mask formulated with Kale, argan oil, almond oil, pomegranate and many other great ingredients. The product is vegan and certified organic. The creamy, grainy texture is very pleasant and even if you feel the grains it’s still a very gentle scrub. I use it 3 times a week as an exfoliator/cleanser and I am really satisfied as it cleans my skin really well without drying it out, leaving it incredibly soft and glowing. The main downside was that I found the smell to be quite specific but fortunately it doesn’t seem to linger on the skin too long^^. It might be to others taste though it just wasn’t a scent that I adored.

Dr. Haushka Firming Mask: A great mask for tired and dehydrated skin with a beautiful selection of ingredients. It contains avocado oil, marshmallow root extract, rose petal extract, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and rose essential oil. The texture is beautifully fondant and easy to spread. It smells quite strongly of rose but it remains pleasant and relaxing. From the first use I found my skin hydrated and smoothed. I applied it thickly on my face and my skin literally drank the mask in 2 seconds. Just a thin transparent layer remained which was a little sticky but the freshness of it was very nice. After leaving it for 20 minutes my skin felt much better as it left my skin comfortable, supple and glowing. The only negative point would be its price as it is quite expensive but this is totally compensated by the quality of the product.

Mademoiselle Bio Gel Intime Doux: This feminine hygiene product is an excellent discovery. It is formulated from ingredients specifically aimed at being gentle and caring on you intimate areas and won’t cause any irritation. It is enriched with cornflower water (soothing), aloe vera (moisturising), calendula (softening) and essential oil of geranium (soothing). The bottle is huge (450ml) which means that it will last an eternity since you only need to use a little. It comes in a pump format which makes it super convenient. Special mention for its very soft and pleasant fragrance.

Mademoiselle Bio Shea Butter: This is a must have in my opinion as I use it daily, especially in winter! It has multiple properties and can be applied on the face, body and hair. I particularly like to use it  on my hands and the dry areas of my body because it moisturises and nourishes the skin deeply. For a more pleasant application I mix the shea butter with a vegetable oil and some essential oils and whisk them into the consistency of a chantilly. It’s such a lovely treat! This one is 100% pure, natural and certified organic!M

Mademoiselle Bio Cornflower floral water: It’s my best friend for difficult mornings! After washing my face I spray some on a cotton pad that I cut in 2 and then put on the under eye area for about 5 minutes, usually while I am making my breakfast. In just a few minutes it deflates any puffiness and completely wakes up my eyes!! It also decongests very well and soothes tired eyes. As I keep it in the refrigerator it gives a wonderful feeling of freshness when I apply it, which is very nice. I honestly can’t do without it any more! Once again my one and only complaint is the smell.

Havana Curls: This is a leave in conditioner formulated for dry, curly hair. It can be applied on wet or dry hair. It is made up of very rich ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, mango butter, avocado oil, olive oil as well as glycerin and aloe vera. The texture is compact and pretty much solid but this is dependant on the temperature. I rub a small amount in my hands to warm it and turn it into oil and then apply it on my wet hair. I have fine hair so even a really small amount is enough for my hair. The first few times I applied this I definitely used too much and found myself with slightly too greasy hair :( Once I had the dosage mastered though I found this cream to be very effective at defining curls without weighing down the hair (and without leaving a greasy film). It is now more than a month that I have been using it and I find that my hair is more supple and my curls have so much more bounce! It is a small pot of 30ml but I think it will last me for ages!
