I have reviewed quite a lot of beauty boxes lately. In the recent past there have been mostly French and some Swedish but this time it’s a brand new British beauty box. This is the second release from the Vertue Box so I’m really excited to see how the British stack up. I have to admit that I’m starting to become a bit of a Box addict. I’m so happy to see more and more boxes offering natural and organic options that match my needs. This box includes 4 natural beauty products and 1 health product and is released every 2 months. The box has 2 options, you either plump for 5-7 full size products for £30 or 3-5 minis for £18 so you can test without shelling out too much cash. Both include full delivery and the one I received from the brand is the full size box which is called the Original.
Green People Quinoa & Artichoke Conditioner High Shine 100ml £9.95 (Travel size) – This really isn’t what I would call a travel size at 100 ml as the quantity seems very reasonable for a full size product. I’ve tried it once very quickly and the smell is lovely! It left my hair smooth and well-conditioned. I will see if over a longer term it adds shine to my hair as claimed.
MOA The Green Balm 50ml £12.50 (Full size) – I got a sample of this balm in my goodie bag when I was at the ‘We Are Clean Cult’ event so I’m already reasonably familiar with this product. It’s a multi purpose balm you can use to remove eye-makeup as well as to soothe dry and itchy skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis etc… I find it to have a very medicinal smell and have been using it mainly on my hands, nails and cuticles. It is supposed to be great at treating cold sores and seeing as I unfortunately seem to get at least one each year I will report back if it works once I am afflicted!
Kiki Health Nature’s Living Superfood 20g £7 (Small size) – I’m all about superfoods and I try my best to add them everywhere, in my breakfasts, smoothies and juices. I haven’t been ill for quite a while so perhaps they really do work well ^^ touch wood. This 100% raw ingredient food supplement in particular is a mix of a lot a lot of different superfoods including vegetables (Nettle Leaf, Wheatgrass Leaf, Kale Leaf, Broccoli, Amla Berry) Algaes (Spirulina, Chlorella) Sea Vegetables (Kelp, Dulse) Enzymes (Protease, Amylase, Lipase, Cellulase, Bromelain, Papain, Alpha Galactosidase) and Bacterial Cultures (Lactobacillus Plantarum, Lactobacillus Paracasei…). It is advised for adults to start by taking half a teaspoon per day and building up to one full teaspoon over time, I can’t wait to see how it tastes!
Terre Verdi Body Oil 30 ml £11 (Small size) – This already appears to be a gorgeous body oil! It smells amazing and even just from testing it quickly on my skin it left the area feeling nourished and supple! The oil penetrated really quickly and left a beautiful light scent on my skin. It’s a cocktail of nourishing carrier oils (argan oil, white tea oil, pomegranate oil, jojoba oil) and essential oils (frankincense, Patchouli, neroli, sweet orange) which is no doubt why it has such a delicious fragrance. I am looking forward so much to trialing this fully and seeing if it lives up to the initial quick positive test!
Bloomtown Botanicals 3 mini soaps £4.2 – These have to be the cutest little soaps I have seen in awhile. I think it may be due to the fact they look like tiny little bars of chocolate and I am a lifelong chocolate addict. I have 3 scents included here in 3 colours; Green, Pink & Purple. Green represents The Woods and is a Shea & Coconut bar, Pink is The Rose Garden and also Shea Butter & Coconut but the Purple, which is The Clearing, is Black Clay & Tea Tree. They are free from Palm Oils, animal products, wheat, sulfates, SLS, parabens, synthetic colours and detergents. The three also come in a lovely little drawstring sack that looks like it could be made of hessian or hemp! I really like the subtle light scent that all three have but it’s the black clay soap that intrigues me the most.
The total price of the box if you bought everything separately would be £44.65 so there is a good saving to be made of £14.65. As I have been testing a lot of beauty boxes recently I am going to do a summation of them all with pros and cons for each so you can be far more advised which is the right one to pick for you! Check back soon and tell me if you have received any beauty boxes that you particularly adore as I may as well go all in now I have tested so many of them…….in for a penny, in for a thousand pounds ^^.
